What is the meaning of GMP?
The term GMP is the abbreviation for Good Manufacturing Practice, a binding guideline initiated from the world health organisation (WHO) for the manufacture of medical products. This guideline considers requirements in view of the technical equipment, the hygiene, the raw materials, intermediate and finished products, production conditions, quality control as well as the organisation system as such.
Together with the complex documentation, the compliance with the GMP regulations guarantees that customers receive the products only in perfect condition. Supervision of the pharmaceutical companies and granting of certificates are in the hand of the local health authorities.
